Greetings from the Refuge Ranch!

We are Mike and Rachel Bath and have adventured life together for over 50 years as husband and wife, dad and mom and followers of Jesus Christ.  We have lived in the Philippines and all over the USA.  Mike served in the USAF in SE Asia during the Vietnam war, and retired from Genuine Parts Company (NAPA Auto Parts) after 39 years.   Rachel has a degree in Accounting and works as a Tax Accountant, CPA, during the Spring of the year.  We adopted our daughter, Tori, in Jackson, MS in 1996.  Although we began as a family ministry, our daughter has departed on her own life journey;  she is now married and with two daughters. Currently, partnering with us in the ministry is Tonia Blume.  Tonia is a very experienced rider, horse trainer and riding instructor with a passion for Jesus and helping others. Together, our goal is to lovingly care for God’s lambs … one at a time, through Equine Education, Experiential Learning, Encouragement and most importantly, God's Enlightenment.

We feel that God has called each of us to seek Him out and in that journey, we will find His hope, peace, faith, healing and love.  The Refuge Ranch staff is committed to serve everyone with an open heart, in loving friendship, by sharing: our gifts, our supportive encouragement, this beautiful property, and our horse partners  - also, when invited to do so, our personal faith walk, for the purpose of helping the discovery of each person’s unique value and place.  We expect that those who visit, whether as a guest, participant, or volunteer, will become an actual part of what God is doing at the Refuge Ranch.  This is truly a simple quiet place, where very simple things can have a great impact on your life and the lives of others.  It is our desire that you feel welcome, at peace and safe in what we feel is a small glimmer of God’s Kingdom here in rural Southern Minnesota; the Refuge Ranch.

With expectations,

Mike and Rachel Bath with Tonia Blume
